Accepting his fate, Joe joins a wolf pack steeped in history and tradition, but someone among them is threatening to tear their pack apart. To make matters worse, as the pack master, Joe rebukes the traditions of the past while ignoring the mandated placement of two mates.

As he leads his pack to a position of strength, Joe will stand out as the clear Alpha destined to protect the East Tennessee Moonlight Clan Council, but will his lack of experience and immaturity cost the clan what they cherish most? And who, if anyone, will stand beside him when he fights to protect those closest to home?

Once freed, Shuke and Tommy decide to return to Tennessee, but there’s a slight problem with their plan. They can’t keep their hands off each other. Worse still, Shuke finds he can’t leave the Phoenix area due to an unexpected mate calling.

Following the scent of a woman, Shuke insists on returning to Salt River, the last place he saw the female who freed them. And with the lust growing between Shuke and Tommy not at all overshadowing his desire for a woman, Shuke sees his fate sealed as the trilogy of endowment calls to him in a way he never expected.

The Savage Release

Tagline: One beast may die, but another one will rise. And his savage ways will live on forever.

Book Description:

Two members of the Moonlight Clan Council are abducted. After they’re pulled away from their East Tennessee pack and shipped to Canada, they awaken only to find themselves surrounded by the snow-covered peaks of the Northern Rocky Mountains. To make matters worse, a formidable enemy stands before them and challenges them in a battle for their lives.

Fighting their way to freedom, Len and Ray come face to face with Sable, another wolf-shifter defending their pack’s enemy, Corey Marshall. Once Sable learns she supported the wrong wolf, she realizes how much she stands to lose.

Drawn to their attacker in a way that doesn’t make sense, Len and Ray see vivid images as the trilogy of endowment unfolds before them. They embrace their mating call, but the young woman is quite a handful. And Sable isn’t prepared for Len’s idea of a first mating. After Len and Ray unleash their building passion, Sable is left with only one choice—complete surrender.

Author: Amaleen Ison
Release Date: TBA
Editor: Lea Finley
Cover Artist: Scott Carpenter
Genre: Young Adult
Format: E-book

Book Description:

Sera isn’t living. She’s existing—barely. Bedbound by illness, she has no memory of life before the freezing barn she now calls home. A mournful song haunts her dreams and hints at a past not completely buried—one she’s desperate to uncover. Yet Father’s whirlwind visits to draw blood and administer medication don’t provide answers. He only confirms the one thing she already knows; she’s dying.

A lonely death without ever knowing her past seems inevitable until a sudden, mystifying return to health coincides with the arrival of a boy in the opposite out-building. The inextricable pull to the stranger, and the broken memories that storm her mind when he’s near, warn of a history quite different to any she could have imagined. If she’s to uncover the truth she craves, she’ll have to decide whether knowledge of the past is worth forfeiting her second chance at life.

Authors Info:
Amaleen Ison is a married mother of one. She lives with her family in Hertfordshire, England, along with her cats (Oscar and Winston), guinea pig ( LouLou), and gerbils (Blackberry and Pumpkinseed). She writes Young Adult fantasy stories that meander into a variety of sub-genres.

As a child, Amaleen lived most of her life in her head. She imagined herself in mystical lands populated by the weird and wonderful. She still spends way too much time daydreaming, but now she writes about her imaginings and weaves them into stories. The fantasy element is always important, but more so the hodgepodge of emotions that arise from her characters first time experiences.

The Super Dark Trilogy Book One
Tanith Morse
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Publisher: Little Willow
Number of pages: 256
Word Count: 83,000 Words
Cover Artist: Tanith Morse

Book Description:

For fans of Stephenie Meyer comes a chilling love story that will have you hooked from the very first page. Super Dark is a tale of passion, guilt and redemption with a whopping, knock-you-to-your-knees twist!

Darkness stalks seventeen-year-old Sam Harper. Ten years ago on Halloween night, grotesque creatures snatched her best friend Elliot and Sam narrowly escaped with her life. Now a decade on, the police investigation has ground to a halt and Elliot's whereabouts remains a mystery.

Traumatized by her ordeal, Sam finds it hard to make friends. She is mistrustful of authority and changed schools more times than she cares to remember. To her, the world is cruel and unforgiving.

Then she meets the enigmatic Lee Weaver. With his gorgeous face and magnetic presence, he turns heads wherever he goes. Sam has never wanted anyone as much as she wants Lee, but there are things about the alluring stranger that don't add up, leading Sam to ask unsettling questions about her past. Soon she discovers the boy of her dreams is keeping a terrible secret: one that threatens to destroy everything Sam holds dear.

Super Dark is a seductive love story that will keep you guessing right until the final page.

My Review:

Super Dark (Super Dark #1) by Tanith Morse
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the first time I’ve read anything written by Tanith Morse, here writing style is excellent, the plot and character were well written and I found I couldn't put this novel down.

We first meet Samantha and Elliot on Halloween night as young children out trick or treating and they are kidnapped. Elliot begs the kidnappers to let Samantha go and he will be good and do what they say, and of course Samantha is let go. For Samantha this incident has left her with a lifetime of guilt. Now years later Elliot has still never been found and Samantha struggles to move on.

Starting a new school Sam meets a few new friends and for the first time in a very long time Sam thinks maybe she should try to accept their friendship. Sam knows everyone knows who she is as her kidnapping case was very public. This publicity has led her to be a very closed off and second guess most people as they usually want something from her, but Sam takes a chance with Becky and Frasier.

Out one night Sam and Becky meet a young man Lee and Becky falls for him immediately, of course Sam being a bit more reserved doesn’t say much but she feels an instant attraction to Lee.

Lee is what one would call mysterious and of course both girls are drawn to this. Sam quietly and secretly tries to figure him out and of course this leads to trouble. There is something about Lee that makes Sam wonder who he is and why is he so secretive and moody.

I was quite shocked when I started reading Super Dark, as I wondered why I hadn’t heard of this series, it’s a bit of paranormal, mystery and full of deep dark secrets. The story pulls you in and you can’t stop reading as you need to know what is going on. I love a good mystery.

I have rated Super Dark a 4 star rating and cannot wait to read the next book in this series, Tanith Morse has written a great first novel and this series is one I intend to read to see what happens to Sam, Lee and their friends.

Guest Blog Post:

Ten Songs that inspired Super Dark

Music plays a big part in my writing process and today I’d like the share with you the top ten songs that inspired scenes in my novel Super Dark.

  1. Make You Feel My Love by Adele – This cover of a Bob Dyan classic is truly beautiful and made me think a lot about Elliot’s sacrifice. The lyrics completely sum up how he feels about Sam. One of the most romantic songs ever written.

  1. Lollipop by Lil Wayne – Although I never mention it by name, this is the song Elliot and Becky dance to in the nightclub scene. This is such a sexy record that you can listen to over and over without getting bored.

  1. Black Heart by Stooshe – This classic song by UK girl-band Stooshe could quite literally be the theme tune to Super Dark. Those who have read the book will know exactly what I’m talking about. “Daddy I’ve fallen for a monster …” Need I say more?

  1. Crazy by Aerosmith – Another sexy song that totally describes how Sam makes Lee feel at certain points of the book. That girl has him wrapped around her little finger – and she knows it.

  1. Nice and Slow by Usher – Beautiful ballad that could have been written for Sam and Lee. Nobody does romance like Usher.

  1. Witchcraft by Frank Sinatra – If you don’t already know, I’ll say it again. I’m a massive jazz fan and Frank Sinatra is one of my all time favorites. I’m so upset I never got to see him on concert (I’m too young!). This is the song I imagined playing during Sam and Lee’s date at the Winchester.

  1. Suspicious Minds by Elvis – Ha! Ha! I threw this one in for a bit of irony *wink* *wink*. This is the song playing in Becky’s dad’s car on the way to Revolution.

  1. Single Ladies by Beyonce – I’m a huge Beyonce fan and this track is perfect for a girlie night. Although I never mention it by name, this is the song Becky danced to in front of the mirror.

  1. Back to Black by Amy Winehouse – I miss Amy so much. She was a massive talent and in my opinion, Back to Black is one of the greatest songs ever written. All that pain and raw emotion perfectly describes the way Lee makes Sam feel.

  1. Someone Like You by Van Morrison – Lovely song that’s played during the third book (Super Dark 3). I won’t say when because that will give too much away, but the lyrics really describe the situation well. That’s all I’m saying for now.

Yet Dean can’t ignore the need to protect Katie—or the desire to be near her every chance he gets. But when he and Katie solve the mystery surrounding the baby, their second chance for happiness could be shattered forever.

My Review:

Not Quite Mine (Not Quite #2) by Catherine Bybee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I first read a novel call Not Quite Dating by Catherine Bybee and really enjoyed the story and the authors writing. So when book two in this series was up I knew right away I had to read it. Catherine Bybee’s writing is really good, the story line and characters are well written this is one of those books when you sit down to start to read it you get so caught up in the story that before you know it your at the end.

In Not Quite Mine we start off at Jack and Jessie’s wedding from Not Quite Dating, and Katie and Dean are both the main characters in this novel. Katie who is Jack’s sister has always been a bit of a spoiled wild rich girl and Dean who is one of Jack’s best friends has always held some major feelings for Katie. Katie and Dean have a past that they kept a secret from everyone; part of the fun was the sneaking around. But when the relationship ended they both pretended to move on, each one thinking the other never really cared. As we get into this story we find out that they both held secrets from one another and really do still have some feeling for each other.

Right after the wedding Katie finds a 2 week old baby left in front of her door with a note asking her to take care of the baby as her own. Katie has no idea who the mother is and how she knew Katie couldn’t have children of her own. Of course she immediately falls in love with Savannah and decides she has to keep this a secret till she can find out more. Keeping this secret is going to be hard work for Katie especially since Dean is snooping around trying to figure out what is going on with Katie and why is she acting so different. Dean confronts her on her behaviour using the excuse he is keeping an eye on her for her brother Jack, he can tell Katie is hiding something.

There is so much more to this story then just romance it’s about letting go of your past, growing and the changes one goes through when there is someone more important than yourself. What happens when Dean finds out about Savannah, and then Katie’s mother seems to appear out of nowhere? Then to make things even harder is watching Dean with Savannah and knowing how great a father he would be?

This whole novel is fantastic, I loved reading about Jessie, Jack and Danny, and Gaylord Jack and Katie’s dad all the characters are so well written you cannot help but want more. I for one cannot wait for book 3 in this series.

I have rated Not Quite Mine a 4.5 stars and would recommend anyone reading my review to go pick up Not Quite Dating and Not Quite Mine. Catherine Bybee writing is one of the better romance authors I have read and love her writing style; she definitely is one of my favorite authors.

Dean followed the pattern of awestruck men until he found her.

Bent over a railing on what would be one of the many ground floor suites, Katie’s short, cream-colored skirt rode midthigh. The sight of her slammed his breath from his lungs. Her long legs appeared to ride for miles and the four-inch heels extended them even farther.

Her butt flexed as she straightened and looked up to the ceiling. She reached above her head as if measuring the height of the room.

The memory of her stretching in bed, naked, after they’d made love swam in his mind.

Get a grip, Dean, he chided himself. Drowning in those memories would only lead to heartache. And he’d had his share of that, enough to last a lifetime.

“You need to wear a hat,” he all but yelled in her direction.

Katie jumped and swiveled in his direction. “Damn it, Dean, you scared me.” She brought a hand to her chest as if calming her heart from the shock of him being there.

“If an inspector were here, he’d shut me down if he caught you without a hard hat.”

He took two purposeful strides in her direction and thrust the hat in front of him. He avoided her personal space but couldn’t keep her floral scent from reaching his nose.

She always smelled like spring.
Dean wiggled the hat in his hand.
She sneered at it as if it were a snake. “Who else has worn that thing?”

“I have no idea.”
 “I’m not touching it.”
He rolled his eyes and let his arm fall. “You wear a hat, or get off my job site.”

Her mouth dropped. “You can’t fire me.”

“I’m not firing you, I’m telling you the rules. And those shoes have to go, too.”

She stuck out a hip and rested a hand on it. “Will an inspector shut you down for my shoes?”

He wanted to tell her yes, but he’d be lying. “The ground is uneven and there are nails everywhere. Twisting an ankle and contracting tetanus are the most likely by-product of stilettos on the site.”

Katie lifted a leg and examined her own shoe. Her skirt slid farther up her thighs.

Dean groaned.
“I’ve run from half a dozen paparazzi on the cobblestoned streets of Italy in heels like these. I’ll take my chances.”

He thrust the hat in her direction a second time and dismissed the footwear argument. “They’re your feet. The hat isn’t optional.”

After sniffing the air and finding it unsavory, Katie glanced at the top of his head. He read her thought before she managed to voice it.

“Has anyone else worn your hat?”
It had his name on it. No one would consider putting it atop his or her head. “No.”
A slow Southern smile met her lips. Avoiding a forgotten two-by-four, she shortened the space between them and stared at his hat.

This was not a fight he was going to win. He could insist she wear the hat in his hand, but knew he’d end up tossing her over his shoulder and removing her from the site because she wouldn’t wear it. It wasn’t that she was a snob, just particular about what touched her skin.

No matter how the hat ordeal played out, the men on his crew would be talking by the end of the day. Carrying her off the site or letting her wear his hat for the day…those were his options.

He mumbled under his breath and removed his hat before plunking it down on her stubborn head.
